Menu November 7th through 13th, 2009

Here’s the plan:

  • Sunday: Sugar Pumpkin, Feta, and Cilantro Quesadillas
  • Monday: Scrounge Leftovers; we both work weird shifts and won’t be sharing a meal
  • Tuesday: Delicata Squash Tacos!
  • Wednesday: 1950s Potato Chowder
  • Thursday: Alton Brown’s Squash Soup
  • Friday: Autumn Harvest Lentil Soup
  • Saturday: Roast Kabocha with Cheese “Fondue”

Grocery List:

  • ginger root
  • red lentils
  • bay leaves
  • paprika
  • tortillas
  • baguette
  • monterey jack
  • greyere or emmental cheese
  • heavy cream

Sunday is also my day to prep foods for storage, but I spent the day chopping ingredients for the week rather than prepping anything else for the freezer.  We have three soup recipes this week which should involve leftovers to freeze, so I’m contributing to a future meal even if I only prep what we make this week.
