Menu November 1st-7th, 2009

Although this week is calmer than last, we both work full time as well as ballet rehearsals (which is normal for us, but still busy). 

Here’s the plan:

  • Sunday: Roast Beef with Roasted Vegetables
  • Monday: Roasted Chicken and Mashed Potatoes
  • Tuesday: Chicken Fajitas with Lime Cabbage
  • Wednesday: Staying with the Lareau kids; whatever is on their menu
  • Thursday: Roast Beef Sandwiches with Spinach Salad
  • Friday: Chicken Soup
  • Saturday: Danielle’s wedding reception; I think there’s dinner there.

Grocery List:

Top Foods

  • Top Round Roast
  • Whole Chicken
  • Whole Wheat Bread
  • Sandwich rolls
  • Limes
  • Cilantro

Sunday is also my day to prep foods for storage for the future, but we had a store meeting at work, so I didn’t have as much time as usual. I did manage to preserve some items on Saturday (tomato & onion mix for Mexian Rice, leftover chicken broth, jalapeno peppers & cilantro) so I don’t feel too far behind for the week.  Besides, since the roast beef & chicken will each be used for multiple meals, it almost seems as if we’re preparing ahead even on our tight schedule.
